SUMMARY: Inventory Specialist performs tasks related to the movement, restocking and accounting of items stored in various locations. Responsibilities can include compiling and maintaining records, identifying types of supplies, and suggesting reorder for revolving stock.Qualifications and Skills1. Inventory Management Experience· Proven experience in inventory management, cycle counting, and conducting inventory reviews.· Familiarity with inventory control processes and systems.· Experience in tracking and locating missing inventory.2. Technical Proficiency· Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory tracking software.· Comfortable with Microsoft Excel· Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) is a plus.3. Attention to Detail· Strong ability to identify discrepancies and accurately record inventory counts.· Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks related to inventory preparation.4. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills· Ability to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies quickly and efficiently.· Competence in analyzing data to identify trends or areas needing improvement.5. Communication Skills· Effective verbal and written communication to collaborate with other team members and report findings.· Ability to explain inventory discrepancies and corrective actions to stakeholders clearly.6. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:· High school Diploma or equivalent.· Minimum 1 year of receiving or returns experience in a warehouse environment.
