Key Accountabilities – Lead Floor Assistant 1. Safety/Family • Take personal accountability for the safety of all individuals present on the plant floor. • Work to constantly promote safe work practices. Collaborate with the Shift Manager to build a strong safety culture within the shift. • Ensure, daily, that all Production team members are prepared with the training and personal protective equipment (PPE) to perform their duties in a safe manner. 2. Complete Standard Work. • Understand the Production Outlook and JDE Schedule daily to prioritize work. • Rotate and track operators’ daily assignments. • Guarantee you personal standard works and processes have been fully and accurately complete through Spotlight and supporting paperwork. 3. Drive accountability and integrity in all Team Members. • Ensure all personal daily all Assigned Production Tasks are completed, Standard Work reporting on Spotlight is critical. • Maintain a personal LSW (Leader Standard Work) of ongoing daily, weekly and monthly concerns, priorities, and improvements. 4. Communicate production issues quickly and effectively to other departments. • If a piece of equipment needs attention, ensure we contact the correct department for a timely fix. UpKeep entries. • If maintenance help is required, send an Upkeep work order to have the work completed. • Contact Shift Manager and Production Manager if manpower issues arise. 5. Gain technical knowledge of all production processes. • Work with Shift Manager to achieve training on work processes improvements. • Remain active in Process Improvement by supporting and leading improvement projects and documentation as time is available. 6. Audit production work cells and Work Orders as driven by Spotlight standard work. • Ensure all operators are performing their 5S duties. • Verify that Operators and Leads are filling out their standard work. Scrap Accuracy. 7. Support Growth initiatives that build stronger individuals and team. • Execute Huddles, verify Training documentation is turned in. • Assist in assigning and performing Training as scheduled by Growth and Development. 8. LEADERSHIP ACCOUNTIBILITY: • Be directly accountable for helping guide behaviors that support team members understanding of their roles in safely, accurately, and efficiently performing ALL of the job tasks for which they are employed at Rehrig Pacific, and demanding that all others do the same.
