The MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) Welder will be responsible for performing welding tasks on a variety of metals and materials using MIG and TIG welding techniques. This position requires a skilled individual who can work with precision and attention to detail to produce high-quality welds for various applications. The welder will work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to safety standards and quality control measures.Key Responsibilities:
Weld metal components using MIG and TIG welding processes.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine welding specifications.
Set up and maintain welding equipment, ensuring proper calibration and safety checks.
Prepare materials for welding, including cleaning, cutting, and fitting parts together.
Inspect finished welds to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Ensure proper use of protective gear and equipment, including welding helmets, gloves, and other PPE.
Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools.
Report any issues or defects to the supervisor or production manager.
Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet production deadlines.
Keep accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience as a MIG and TIG welder, with expertise in both welding techniques.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols.
Knowledge of welding materials, processes, and equipment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot welding-related issues.
Good physical stamina and ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
Strong understanding of welding safety procedures and guidelines.
Education and Experience:
2-5 years welding experience
Working Conditions:
Work in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Exposure to welding fumes, heat, and loud noise.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required, including gloves, masks, steel toe boots and safety glasses.
Ability to work shifts, overtime, or weekends as required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, or crouch for extended periods.
