Summary:Operates automatic and semi-automatic injection molding machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation. Follows established production/process specifications or instructions. Performs manual packaging operations to fill, mark, label, ban, tie pack and/or wrap containers with products and materials. Observes operations and inspects packaged items for conformance with specifications. Tallies, weighs, stacks and arranges products and packed containers. Maintains operating records and reports of test results. Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities of equipment. Essential Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below satisfactorily. 1 60% Maintain quality by visual inspection of each part. Compare parts to startup, trim, clip or torch off excessive plastic from parts when necessary. Maintain computer database with defects. 2 30% Properly pack, label and stack each shipping container with plastic parts. Maintain accurate log sheets and box counts. This includes figuring, and writing on the paperwork/label, the partial amount left in the box at the end of the shift, if applicable. Keep up with grinding when necessary. 3 5% Use proper procedures in operating an injection molding machine. Read Picture Packet and Bill of Material. 4 5% Assist other operators with grinding and rework as directed by the Supervisor. Maintain a clean working environment.
