Job description Job Title: Production Sample Maker / Filler – Manufacturing & Assembly Location: Shakopee, MN Job Type: Full-Time | Non-Exempt Department: Production Reports To: Production Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Production Sample Maker / Filler to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for creating high-quality product samples and supporting production operations to help meet manufacturing goals. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-conscious, and able to work with a variety of materials and tools.
Schedule & Compensation:
Hours Offered per Week: 40 hours
Hourly Pay: $21/hour
Shift: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Days Scheduled: Monday through Thursday (4-day workweek!)
Key Responsibilities:
Create accurate and visually appealing sales samples based on product requirements.
Operate and maintain basic machinery and tools for sample creation.
Monitor and maintain product quality throughout the sample-making process.
Maintain a clean and safe workspace in compliance with safety regulations.
Collaborate with team members to ensure production goals are met on schedule.
Provide support in general production tasks during downtime or as needed.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in manufacturing or sample-making preferred.
Experience with power tools such as table saws, sanders, or drills is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail and strong manual dexterity.
Ability to work with diverse materials such as plastics, textiles, coatings, and metals.
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied environmental conditions.
Must meet safety and respirator requirements (e.g., clean-shaven for proper mask seal).
