Masterson Staffing Solutions – Eagan is hiring experienced SMT Line Operators for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a leading electronics manufacturer. This role is perfect for candidates who take pride in quality work and want to grow their career in electronics manufacturing.
Shift & Pay:
1st Shift – Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Pay: $22.00 – $23.00 per hour, depending on experience
Job Summary:
As an SMT Line Operator, you’ll be responsible for operating Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment to assemble high-quality electronic components. You’ll play a key role in meeting production goals, ensuring quality, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate SMT equipment including pick-and-place machines, screen printers, and reflow ovens.
Lead the SMT production line and ensure output meets quality and timing goals.
Prepare, execute, and troubleshoot tasks following company procedures and best practices.
Report production data, safety concerns, and improvement opportunities accurately.
Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready work area.
Comply with QMS (Quality Management System) standards and participate in team improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
1–3 years of SMT experience or related electronics manufacturing experience preferred.
IPC-A-610 Certification preferred; must be able to obtain if not currently certified.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and production schedules.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Must pass a Visual Acuity and Color Blindness Test as required by policy.
Physical Requirements:
Stand, sit, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for up to 10 hours.
Lift up to 60 lbs occasionally and push/pull up to 50 lbs unassisted.
Work under a microscope and in a high-noise environment.
Use hands for grasping, clamping, and handling small parts.
