Masterson Staffing Solutions - Eagan is now hiring an Assembly Operator / Wave Solder Operator for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a leading electronics manufacturer. This position involves operating wave and/or selective wave soldering equipment, component preparation, board stuffing, and touch-up work — all within a quality-focused and safety-conscious environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate wave and/or selective wave soldering equipment, making program adjustments as needed.
Perform board stuffing, component preparation, touch-up, and inspection to IPC 610 and J-STD-001 standards.
Work efficiently at assigned workstations, track assembly quality, and identify areas for process improvement.
Read and interpret technical documentation, diagrams, and schedules.
Maintain QMS documentation and follow all ATC procedures and safety policies.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors while maintaining a focus on quality, integrity, and performance.
Complete all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience in electronic assembly.
Ability to solder components of all sizes using tin-lead and lead-free alloys to meet IPC 610 standards.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of quality output.
Strong communication and documentation interpretation skills.
IPC/J-STD certification is preferred (or willingness to obtain).
Experience with ISO, AS, QS/TS, and Six Sigma is a plus.
Must pass a Visual Acuity Test and Color Blindness Test.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and push/pull up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
Must be able to bend, reach overhead, and perform tasks under a microscope for long periods.
Must stay alert throughout the shift.
