Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations within a dynamic distribution environment. This role is vital in ensuring efficient inventory management, safe material handling, and seamless logistics processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, technical proficiency with warehouse management systems, and a commitment to process improvement. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining operational excellence, fostering team collaboration, and supporting the overall success of our distribution center.1) Create production report and summary. This includes obtaining all necessary information needed to create report2) Participate in production meeting to discuss issues that arise with material flow and personnel3) Ensure warehouse staff are doing assigned tasks and are being completed in a timely mannerwhile following specific guidelines4) Order all supplies needed for day to day operation of the warehouse while trying to stay within a set budget5) Control all parts documented with quality issues whether they are internal or external issues6) Monitor shipments, audits and packing to ensure highest quality and efficiency possible7) Contact O.S. vendors to track parts as needed8) Assist in sorting and packaging9) Assist in re-sorting quality issue parts10) Unload and load trucks as needed11) Operate and maintain Stand-Up Forklift (must have a valid Driver's License)Experience
Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar warehouse management role within distribution centers or logistics environments.
Extensive knowledge of warehouse operations including inventory control, materials handling, shipping & receiving, and distribution processes.
Hands-on experience operating mechanical equipment such as forklifts; certification preferred.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management systems like AS400, RF scanners, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong understanding of OSHA regulations related to warehouse safety practices.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively through managerial communication and team leadership skills.
Experience implementing process improvements using lean management techniques in fast-paced environments.
Knowledge of heavy lifting requirements and materials handling best practices.
Mechanical knowledge related to material handling equipment operation is advantageous.
Prior experience working with third-party logistics providers (3PL) or in e-commerce fulfillment is desirable.
