A Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining manufacturing equipment used to produce paper, molded fiber, or plastic food packaging products while ensuring quality, safety, and production efficiency.Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and monitor production machines according to work orders and production schedules.
Perform machine adjustments and minor troubleshooting to maintain efficient operation.
Inspect products to ensure they meet quality specifications and customer requirements.
Monitor raw materials and replenish supplies as needed.
Complete production reports and maintain accurate documentation.
Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance on equipment.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety procedures, and company policies.
Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S principles.
Report equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or safety hazards to supervisors.
Work with team members to achieve daily production and efficiency goals.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous machine operation or manufacturing experience is preferred.
Ability to read work instructions and use measuring tools.
Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, overtime, and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and commitment to safety and quality.
