Digital Printing Press Operator – Job DescriptionA Digital Printing Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining digital printing equipment to produce high-quality printed materials while meeting production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements.Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate digital printing presses according to job specifications.
Load paper, inks, and other materials required for production.
Monitor print quality, color consistency, and machine performance throughout production runs.
Perform quality inspections and make adjustments to ensure accurate, defect-free products.
Read and interpret work orders, production schedules, and customer specifications.
Complete routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
Record production data, quality checks, and machine maintenance activities.
Package, label, and prepare finished products for shipping or further processing.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety policies, and quality standards.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous manufacturing, printing, or machine operation experience preferred.
Ability to read work instructions and production documentation.
Basic computer and data entry skills.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and ability to meet production deadlines.
Preferred Skills
Experience operating digital printing equipment (HP Indigo, Xerox, Canon, Ricoh, EFI, or similar).
Knowledge of color management and print quality standards.
Familiarity with GMP, Lean Manufacturing, or 5S practices.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced production environment.
