Production OperatorPosition SummaryThe Production Operator is responsible for operating packaging equipment and supporting production on multiple packaging lines in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This position ensures products are packaged accurately, safely, and efficiently while meeting production schedules and quality standards. Operators are expected to become cross-trained on multiple packaging lines and assist wherever needed to support daily production.Essential Responsibilities
Operate packaging equipment on assigned production lines.
Learn and become proficient on multiple packaging lines.
Package, inspect, label, and palletize finished products according to specifications.
Monitor product quality and report any defects or equipment issues to the supervisor.
Perform line changeovers, setup, and basic equipment adjustments as trained.
Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
Follow production schedules while meeting quality and efficiency standards.
Keep work areas clean and organized in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Follow all food safety, HACCP, OSHA, and company safety procedures.
Work cooperatively with team members to meet daily production goals.
Perform other production-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous manufacturing or packaging experience preferred but not required.
Food manufacturing experience is a plus.
Ability to learn multiple production and packaging processes.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
Regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hairnet, beard net (if applicable), safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe shoes.
