Job Summary: The Material Handler is responsible for ensuring the efficient movement of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods throughout the warehouse and production areas. The role supports manufacturing by maintaining accurate inventory, safely operating material-handling equipment, and following company safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities
Receive, inspect, and unload incoming shipments.
Move raw materials and finished products using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
Stock materials in designated warehouse locations.
Pick and stage materials according to production work orders.
Transport materials between warehouse and production departments.
Use barcode scanners or inventory systems to track material movement.
Maintain accurate inventory records.
Assist with shipping and packaging as needed.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Report inventory discrepancies or equipment issues to supervisors.
Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Previous warehouse or material handling experience preferred.
Forklift experience or certification is a plus.
Basic computer and inventory system knowledge.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
Lift up to 40–50 pounds regularly.
Stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the shift.
Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
