Medical Assembly Technician Job DescriptionJob Summary The Medical Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, inspecting, and packaging medical devices and components in a controlled manufacturing environment. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to follow strict procedures to ensure products meet quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. Candidates must have a minimum of 6 months of previous manufacturing, assembly, or related production experience.Key Responsibilities
Assemble medical devices, components, and subassemblies according to detailed work instructions, drawings, and SOPs.
Perform precision assembly using hand tools, fixtures, and small equipment.
Follow GMP, quality, and cleanroom procedures to maintain product integrity.
Conduct visual inspections and quality checks to identify defects or inconsistencies.
Complete production documentation, including batch records, inspection forms, and traceability paperwork.
Perform kitting activities by gathering, verifying, and organizing components required for production.
Package, label, and prepare finished medical products for shipment.
Maintain accurate inventory counts and report material shortages or discrepancies.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Identify and communicate quality concerns, process issues, or improvement opportunities.
Meet daily production goals while maintaining accuracy, safety, and product quality.
Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to support production schedules.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 6 months of previous experience in manufacturing, medical assembly, production, kitting, or a related field.
Experience working with hand tools, small components, or precision assembly preferred.
Ability to read and follow SOPs, work instructions, and production documentation.
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Commitment to following safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
