Quality Assurance Inspector – 2nd ShiftPosition SummaryThe Quality Assurance Inspector is responsible for inspecting products and materials throughout the manufacturing process to ensure they meet quality standards, customer specifications, and company requirements. This position plays a key role in maintaining product quality by performing inspections, documenting findings, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.Essential ResponsibilitiesQuality Inspection
Perform inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products.
Verify products meet quality standards, specifications, and work instructions.
Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using measuring tools and inspection equipment.
Identify defects, non-conforming materials, and quality concerns.
Document inspection results accurately and maintain quality records.
Testing & Documentation
Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and quality documentation.
Complete inspection reports and other quality-related paperwork.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, and non-conforming materials.
Assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions when needed.
Continuous Improvement
Support quality improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
Follow all quality procedures, safety guidelines, and company policies.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Qualifications
Previous quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
Experience using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, rulers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Basic computer skills and experience documenting inspection results.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Ability to perform repetitive inspection tasks in a manufacturing environment.
Schedule
2nd Shift: Monday – Friday
Hours: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Overtime may be required based on production needs.
