Job Description

Typical duties include:

Operating the automatic tray washing machine.
Loading dirty trays into the washer and unloading clean trays.
Cleaning tray washer filters and performing routine sanitation.
Inspecting trays for cleanliness and damage before returning them to production.
Supplying clean trays to packaging and production lines.
Removing broken trays and foreign material from the production area.
Assisting with packaging line setup, cleanup, and product changeovers.
Reporting equipment problems or mechanical issues to maintenance.
Following all food safety and sanitation requirements, including GMP, HACCP, SQF, and company safety policies.

Typical qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (or comparable work experience).
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
Ability to stand for 10–12 hour shifts.
Comfortable working around production equipment, water, cleaning chemicals, and moving machinery.
Basic math and communication skills.
Forklift experience is helpful but often not required.

The job is physically demanding and usually involves:

Continuous standing and walking.
Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling carts.
Repetitive lifting of trays.
Working in a wet, fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
Maintaining strict cleanliness and sanitation throughout the shift.
