Warehouse Lead / Kitting LeadJob Summary Experienced Warehouse Lead with a strong background in warehouse operations, kitting, inventory control, shipping and receiving, and team leadership. Oversees daily workflow to ensure production schedules are met while maintaining quality, safety, and accuracy. Coordinates kitting operations, trains employees, and drives continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment.Key Responsibilities
Lead and support daily warehouse and kitting operations to meet production and customer deadlines.
Assign work, monitor productivity, and provide guidance to warehouse associates.
Coordinate kitting activities by ensuring components are picked, verified, assembled, labeled, and delivered accurately.
Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock replenishment, and inventory transactions.
Ensure compliance with SOPs, GMPs, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Verify kit accuracy and perform quality inspections before release to production or shipping.
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
Coordinate receiving, put-away, shipping, and material movement throughout the facility.
Train new employees on warehouse procedures, kitting processes, equipment operation, and safety practices.
Troubleshoot inventory discrepancies and resolve workflow issues to minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate documentation using ERP, WMS, or inventory management systems.
Collaborate with production, purchasing, quality, and logistics teams to support operational goals.
Promote a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment using 5S and Lean principles.
Qualifications
Previous warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing experience.
Experience leading or supervising warehouse teams.
Knowledge of kitting, inventory control, shipping/receiving, and material handling.
Experience using ERP/WMS systems and RF scanners.
Forklift certification (preferred).
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
